This is my newest venture. I've gone a few times already and absolutly love it.
Anyone else here do it? Tips and advice from some veterans would be appreciated. :thumb

Do you have all your gear? Are you riding track or free ride (deseret)? Four storke or two? 125/250 or 500cc?

I've got some gear, not all of it...i'm working on that. I usually do both, but I really want a bigger bike for free riding/desert.

For keeps or for sale? :D

+1 on the 500 great for desert. I think Kawi is the only one who still makes new 500 cc two strokes? Ugly as hell, but what a bad as# bike to have when doing desert cross. I use to work at Pro Circuit and did a little bit of porting-(entry level) and man the two stroke 500 cylinder were huge!
I use to be really big into moto X- had a YZ450 and 125, really haven’t ridden dirt in about a year 1/2. I'm starting to want to get back in since season is coming up.
I still have all my gear, In fact i just now remember I have 04-05 Brand new Troy lee pants/jersey and gloves.
MX is fun, but my back just can't take the pounding jumps any more.
I'm more of a dirt rider now; Gorman, the dez, etc...
We have 10/7 and 10/14 earmarked as Gorman dirt biking days already!
Join us if you can!

The I-5 MX track is big and fast, beware.
Come ride the trails with us, it's a lot of fun!
I know Gorman like the back of my hand!

Just the same regardless of stroke.
I ride my YZ125 there and have a blast!
Just ride it at your own pace.

I miss dirt bike riding. Some day, I will get back into it. I used to love the trail riding the best. Motocross, I don't have the skill. Enduro, that's cool. :D

Been riding dirt most of my life started out on a 50,-> 125 -> 250 two strokes. I just got the 06 YZ450F four stroke and its taking some getting use to but I think I have the hang of it now.
I ride in the desert about twice a week and I like to go to the track on the weekends.
If you ever want to go out let me know.

XR50's do not count. Neither do the bikes at the county fair that go round in circles.:fawkdance
