Since buying the Ducati, I've not ridden the Honda. That's a shame and it should go to a new home.
This bike is totally reliable, completely dialed and a turn-key track package. It will make a perfect first dedicated track bike for someone (though it may still be competitive if ridden well).
The bike has been serviced by WSMC stud Andy Palmer at West Coast GP Cycles. I’ve only used the expensive racer-boy Repsol oil and changed it every 2 trackdays. Coolant was flushed every 4. Bike is safety-wried.
The previous owner (whom I’m still in touch with) raced this bike in WERA and CCS and then parked her for two years while he focused on SuperMoto. Neither he nor I have ever laid this bike over. The owner previous to him lowsided it once and all damage has been repaired.
The bike is very clean and has been developed by the previous owner with Michelin and Race Tech support over two seasons. It has been a racebike for most all of its life and has the usual nicks, scrapes, dings and bodywork scars that you’d expect. The paint shines well though and she’ll not let you down.
No street stuff. This is not a street bike – this is a race bike.
Build list is as follows:
2001 F4i
Less than 3,700 actual miles
CA DMV Transportation Permit (in lieu of a title)
Michelin Power Race tires with lots of life left (bike is set up for Michelins)
Erion Racing full exhaust
Erion Racing cam
Power Commander with a custom map.
Runs REALLY strong on Sunoco Standard 110.
Ohlins shock (with custom valving)
Race Tech fork internals (developed over two seasons)
Set up for 210lb rider but will come with springs and valves for a 170lb rider (front and rear).
520 chain and AFAM sprokets - several sets of gearing included
Ohlins steering damper
Quick-turn throttle
Keyless ignition
Vortex Clip Ons
Vortex Rearsets
Braided lines
Sharkskinz bodywork and ZG screen (professionally painted but with some battle scars)
Renthal grips
Will also come with the following:
Pit Bull rear stand
LP front stand
Factory stock exhaust (a MUST if you want to ride Laguna Seca)
Spare wheels with bearings, rotors and crush drive
Used Metzeler wets (in case that’s your thing)
Spare subframe
Spare radiator
Factory service manual (hardcopy and on CD in .pdf file).
Again: This is a totally dialed, turn-key package for someone. Bike is in West Los Angeles and I will assist with delivery. Better yet, you can send me money via PayPal and I’ll bring her to a local track day ready to go.
Asking $4,200
