I wonder if that means it's for sale, or you just have one that you got for $1k. If it's just what you have then...

I have a friend that has a GS500 but it isn't running. It has electrical problems. If you're looking for a fixer, I'll ask him about it.
damn 300 for a 250 huh...

I also have a friend in the market that is looking for a fixer-r-upper. Please let me know what your friend says.

check over at gstwin.com for gs500's. they have a discussion forum, which includes a for sale forum. might have some luck. also +1 on craigslist. some guy on anothersite.com just bought a gs locally for $500. needed a fresh battery but it ran when bought-he rode it home...so, they're out there...

If you're paitent the good deals are there. Especially when people are down on their luck.. the bikes are usually the first thing to go..
I'm waiting for the $1,000 R1 to pop up so I can get a second one. :)

This one isn't bad assuming everything is else is in working order and that is all it *REALLY* needs.

To test out ignition is easy - hotwiring this bike is extremely easy;

Just remember when someone buys the bike, they have to pay tax and registration too. Maintenance shouldn't be factored into the price of a bike- that's just expected to happen as you use it. That's wear-and-tear you put on the bike, not a bonus feature. You might find a buyer for $2900 and there's nothing wrong with asking for a high number... but you're asking $250 over kbb retail value and $1,000 over trade-in and a lot of people check those numbers.

for an added bounus tell the buyer you will put down "gift" on the pink so no one has to pay for the tax.
Oh and my friend got a 2005 ninja 250 for 2500. so if need be you can lock this thread.
