Or do I really need some adult supervision???:confused:confused

Well I have been reading way too much of this stuff:

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=240023

With such great riding, and having spent 20 years riding the desert, I could not resist....

1. I bought a wrecked Aprilia CapoNord...(That has the same 1000cc engine as the Mille and my Falco)...then I moded it and raised the HP by 20% and put some knobbies on it plus a Ducati carbon exhaust system (Don't sound like a sewing machine in Kansas any more Dorothy does it??) but it was way heavy for rock bashing.

2. Went to Del Almo and bought a 08 KLR 650 today.

When I start to have some free time in August/Sept will look to see if anyone is up to exploring AZ/NV/UT for some 2 or 3 day overnight camp out trips.

I am also for shipping it too India and doing some Himalayan exploring.

Awesome. Can you post your thoughts of the new KLR after you use it for awhile? I've had my eye on one at Del Amo myself. I'm no stranger to camping and want to get into the adventure riding scene. My goal is to do LA to Vegas, then Baja, then Southeast Asia.

great pics on that link too. makes me want to rent a goldwing and take 2 weeks off work and just travel around the southwest (onroad only).

I am going to try and do some stuff at Bishop as soon as I get back from my travels. (Singapore for 2 weeks, then Seattle for 3 weeks).

I have really missed my camping, as I used to have 3 large mules and a horse. Would take off into some wilderness area and just get lost for a week or more. Unfortuanatly my stock got into some poision plants and killed the whole herd of them. Only problem is with a bike the great camp stuff is too heavy unless I drive there in my PU and haul the bike but I would have a great base camp.

In the link I posted, read through it and see the really great stuff to ride that is only a less than a dozen hours away from Los Angeles.

I decided to buy the 08 KLR after having a bid on a 07 on ebay with only 75 miles on it. I could have gotten it for $3500 (Tustin), but looking at the advances in the 08 opted to spend the extra money on getting the 08. (Really a tall bike however).
