hey guys im new here. names michael im 18 live in bakersfield cali and well hahaha ever since i was driving up next to like 20 street bikes in a line ive been in love with them. i dont have one now but i hope to get a ninja 250 i know people hate on them but im not an idiot like my friend who has never ridden a bike before and is going straight to an r1. hahahah.....anyways i had some questions if you wouldnt mind answering. ok so i got on a bike the other day(didnt turn it on or anything) and was kinda playin with the clutch and it was kinda hard to shift. now i know its different with bikes but like it was putting strain on my foot hahaha. do u just get used to it or like what??? what insurance would you recommend? like full coverage and alll that stuff or just like the most basic basic coverage?? should i buy used or new? thanks

welcome...250's always a great startup bike...& get a used one for now cuz you're gonna want to upgrade to a bigger & newer bike later on once you get comfortable with riding...

welcome. the type of coverage you get depends on your situation and the value of the bike. you have to weigh pros and cons. for example, you don't want to pay $1000/year for full coverage on a bike that costs you $1000 etc... if you have a $10,000+ new liter bike then you might want full coverage...

as for the clutch and shifting- it's not that hard. when the bike is actually running and you're actually riding you'll realize it's a lot easier than when the bike is totally off like you were describing. don't worry about that. good decision not getting a new R1 as your first bike.... oh, you should buy used and cheap.
