Well, have Snohbabe come by and check it out! :D
I just got confirmation from lttlfzrchck's bitch that sure enough, it's open. No cops, no animals, but a little dirty (ah... just the way I remember it). My next ride is going to be ol' faithful... GMR. graemlins/banana.gif graemlins/banana.gif graemlins/banana.gif

I wonder if there's a good route from GMR over to Bouquet?
GMR -> Crest -> Bouquet ...now there's an all day ride I wouldn't mind doing. :D
Rumor has it everyone's favorite road (except Tristan) GMR is open...
And I have to work tomorrow. graemlins/doh.gif graemlins/sad2.gif
I got a road conditions update from lttlfzrchck. She said there's some rocks scattered throughout the hill, but nothing too bad or unavoidable. The biggest thing was about 1/4 the way down from the top (not the East Fork side), there's sand across the lane in the apex of a turn.
I asked why they didn't get out and move the rocks/sand, and she said they saw a 2 foot rattlesnake. pffff! wuss's.

Hey, I'm not gonna go out there with the rattlers, ask Bryan that thing was huge and not too happy.
Anyhow yup yup it's still open and still dirty. Another thing I would like you warn all of you all about is that I guess people up here have kind of become accustomed to the mountain being empty, so I've heard that there have been people walking in the middle of the road, and yelling at the sportbikers that go by. Just a little heads up on what's goin on. Have fun and be safe. :D

Theresa, since you're close enough, bring a broom and clean the road for all of us yeah? :D
I already suggested that, but she said something about snakes. Wussy. graemlins/2fingercouch.gif

Hey there people,
A little update on GMR graemlins/banana.gif . Over the past few weeks since GMR has been opened surprisingly after the first week and a half it has really calmed down up there. Not a lot of people have been going up the mountain, and it's been reasonalbly quiet (which is very nice :D )
The road is a lot cleaner than it was when it first opened, but still quite a bit dirty; especially coming down the hill. There isn't as much sand as before, but in some of the tighter corners there still some lingering rock etc.
So if ya come up this way just be very careful. Have fun. graemlins/yippee.gif

I dont see the big deal about GMR, what really makes it so darn great? Its ok...its too tight, cant have fun and people hate you and its dirty. Osbourne is the same distance, tons cleaner, tons more room to stretch your legs and no cops...and about the same distance (at least for me). Osbourne, Bouquet etc...are tons better alternatives...last time I rode GMR was on a THURSDAY about a 3 weeks ago...me and momentum road it in the AM. Weekday, NO ONE around...mountain all to ourselves and a total of about 4 more. IT STILL SUCKED. I dont understand the hype on GMR like its gods gift to bikers when we have so many other roads....uugh.
ok..off my rant box...so whens the next GMR putt putt ride? graemlins/asshole.gif
There's just something about GMR that I like. I don't normally like really tight roads/turns, but GMR is ok in my book. Very weird.
The reason I like Osborne/Bouquet is because that's a good long ride. And for whatever reason lately, I've been preferring the long rides over the "be home by lunch" rides.

It is one of my favorite roads, but I guess living right down the street does make me a bit partial. :D
As for the sweeping thing....I have a push broom you all can borrow ;)
