So, please clear your calendar on that day if you have something to do! We're having an SBN Riding Season Kick Off BBQ, or simply "Thank God for No More Rain BBQ," on Sunday April 11th, at my house. There will be a Big Bear ride at 10am on that day, the BBQ will start at 1pm (right after the ride). Food, drinks (non-alcoholic), and shit-talks are all provided free of charge. You're more than welcome to bring more food, drinks, and anything fun to the BBQ. This is a great chance for all of us to meet and greet all of the people on SBN, and to start another fun and safe riding season. Oh, and all members of SBN are invited!!! tongue.gif I will post the directions to my place later, please reply if you're planning to come!

April 4th, AMA
April 11th, Easter
April 18th, MotoGP
I'm just gonna leave it as it is this time, too many opinions. If you can come and join us, post it up so I can buy enough food. If you rather stay home and watch MotoGP (sorry no cable at my house), no biggie. It's just a small BBQ, it's cool if you all can come and hang out.

It's been my understanding that the meeting point would be at James' house. Start the ride at 10am. ...so get to James' place already gassed up and ready to go between 9:30am and 9:55am.
He still needs to give directions though, I don't know how to get to his place. I suppose I could just go to the track then ride up and down the neighborhood streets looking for bikes parked outside. graemlins/slap.gif

hey bob, the 18 is still closed through to big bear.
so the options are:
go up the 15, through crestline then DOWN the 18. like we did that one time last year remember? shorter route.
or take the 330 (traffic) through to the 38. thats the route we just did a few weeks ago. longer route.
or just go up and down the 38.

What I bring (in my tankbag):
-Water
-small towel to wipe away sweat (or to use to clean helmet visor, or 1 each)
-Cell phone
-some change for a payphone...just in case my cell gets no reception and I have to ride to a payphone
-hat
-a snack. (only sometimes though)
I carry my wallet with money/ID in the pocket of my suit.
If you don't have a tankbag, either bring a backpack or get some bungee cords and put a bag or something under them with your items in it.

Dang I never knew you carried so much CRAP. Here is what I bring...my WALLET with money, ID, insurance info, cell phone, and emergency contact info. The only thing I will remember to bring now that you brought up is change. That is a good idea.
Wearing a backpack with full leathers is kinda geeky IMHO...but I guess a tank bag is 'acceptable' graemlins/2fingercouch.gif
Like Herb said, I can fit all that stuff in my trunk, it's just easier to put it in the tank bag. :D

I think you'll be taking the 210 E for the ride to the James's (Vtec44) house.
Exit Azusa make a Left turn (head north). Keep to your right and enter the Shell station.
Be there around 8:45 AM. Alex is meeting me there at that time.
This is all assuming it won't rain tomorrow morning. If it rains I am not riding graemlins/dunno.gif
