7.31.04 - ACH - actual ride thread

sidster and I are going to ride the ACH area tomorrow. 9am at the Shell gas station on ACH. Any and all are welcome, even though I know most either have other riding plans, have other non-riding plans, or have some dumb fear about riding a week before a trackday. graemlins/2fingercouch.gif

Great ride today. It was soooooo nice out. We rode the back way (from the "tree") to Wrightwood and stopped at Cal-Sportbike. ...wouldn't you know it... they're closed on Saturdays! So just as we start enjoying the shade next to the front door, who should ride up but the man himself Todd. He opened the doors and let us hang out inside for a bit while we all chatted.

Eak... I hope you didn't actually wait at the Shell station when we got to the bottom. I saw Patrick get on the freeway to leave so I just did the same. Sorry. graemlins/laughing.gif

great ride today, made a big loop around the mountain.

Sorry I missed out. I was too busy dealing with issues with my R6 at Big Willow. I put in about 4 sessions, but had to sit out the last two because a shifter joint seized, and I was getting tired (still had to ride home - so I was busy wrenching). I hear my times are in the mid 1:50's. Yippee, I'm breaking the two-minute marker! Now if I can just get my ass off my bike, I think I can go a little faster.

You should have called me, i would hav ecome home and you could have hung out at my place if you got tired of riding. I forgot that you said that you were riding out to the track. Hell, you could have spent the night at my place to shave off 40 minutes of drive time.

I just got from a short ride up bouquet and spunky for lunch, only to find that the diner was closed for some reason. Track next weekend and back to canyon riding only for a while.

Had a drink and came back upper T to lower T and headed home. I must have been right in front of you the whole way....
