View Full Version : Too many red flags!

MiniGP started great, but the day was filled with many red flags. The first one was Jake with his X1. He passed me cleanly on the main straight, then I followed him through turn 1, then the tight U turn (turn 2) wich requires hard braking especially after the straight. He lowsided pretty hard right in front of me. Good thing I didn't target-fixed and run into him. I went by slowly, then the red flag came out. The bike suffered some fairings damages, a few broken tabs, chain fell off, and so did the rear shock. The rider suffer some nasty road rash. I don't think the tennis shoes that he was wearing provided much protection, some riding boots would have helped. I have to give him props for getting back out there immediately after tech inspection gave him the green light. But then he crashed again, and again, and again. We saw a rider on dirt bike (Atilla) running on knobby tires flew pass us (the rider looks a little big for that bike though). Joe was in full gears with some cool speedometer for his bike. Joey was flying out there, the bike was running good. I lowsided once, but was able to hold on to the bike as it was flying over me. No damages, just a bruised ego. My day ended when the fuel filter decided to give up on me and leaked gas all over. Good thing I was in the pit lane, and not out there. People would have been pissed if I spill oil/gas all over the track. We gotta do this again, but at a different track. I don't think the guys like "mini" Streets Willow that much, since it was a bit dirty. tongue.gif

Doh! and ouch, ouch, ouch. The 4th crash finally put me to stop. Put a nasty cut in to my left toe. My first motorcycle related accident was well... multiple. Good thing I was wearing some skateboard knee pads. More details and pictures to follow.

PS> Thanks Joey for his medical aid. smile.gif

Great read, and i'm glad everyone is ok with all of the incidents going on out there. Get your bikes back together and keep it up. I wish i could have joined you out there for the festivities, but i ain't got no bike.

You could have been my umbrella girl... what's up? :D Wanaberyder, momentum, and rsixrocket took some videos and pictures. I hope it doesn't show where I pushed Jake over. redface.gif

No real damage to my Mid bike. Just some worn down bar ends (cheap plastic) and a broken fairing tab. My bike still runs fine. 99% of the crashes were performed by myself and I kept lowsiding pretty much every other lap (except for the last crash were I actually went over the bike, guess its a highside) If I remembered to tie my shoes tighter, it wouldnt have fallen off and left me with some toe rash. :(
