A lot of my friend told me that service department at Chaparral sucks. So basically I drove over to Chaparral thinking that I'm just gonna buy the tires and have it installed at Honda/Yamaha in Redlands. By the time I was done getting the tire, Honda/Redlands were already closed. So I said, what the heck, how hard is it for them to install the tire... right? So I hand over my rim to the Chaparral Tire dept and they told me it would take 20min. I went over to pick up the tire and as I was walking toward the exit I notice that the tire was installed in wrong direction. graemlins/rolleyes.gif
The supervisor blamed the new guy. They took it back to fix the problem, during the wait I had small talk with the supervisor. He sounded like a pretty decent guy, I asked him what kind of training is need to be a technician, and he told me that no training is needed to be a general tech. I guess you walk in, they show you how to work the machine and thats pretty much it. Anyhow, I finally got the tires installed correctly, and it came with some extra love. Some scratches were left around the rim edges on both sides. Oh well, live and learn.
