Well I tried out that Tankslapper material. It works great as long as you're not moving around the tank or riding in 90 degree+ weather. When I did the SOW trackday with quietlilsis, the Tankslapper material started to come off. It was almost melting from the heat. If anyone is thinking of getting this stuff, I suggest getting the 3M adhesive material. I'm pretty sure it'll stay on better than the Tankslapper material.

Oh great, I ordered and received mine a week ago but still haven't put it on. Maybe I can send it back? graemlins/lsvader.gif

I ordered my clear adhesive sheets from Tricktape.com. They come in 17"x18" sheets I think, you'll have to cut it out and put it on your tank. A year later, they're still stick to the tank like the first time I put it on! You should try them.

Actually Bob, if you still have time to cancel your Tankslapper order, I have an extra sheet left over from my order. If you want to try it out before buying, it's yours for the having. Just let me know.

Just let me know. Naw, I'll just try it. It's the custom cuts for my bike so hopefully it'll work for awhile. Fortunately it didn't cost too much..
Thanks, graemlins/lsvader.gif

Not to add salt to the wound, but the ones I had were the custom cut for my bike as well. graemlins/laughing.gif I ordered 2 extra sheets to use elsewhere on the bike.

Good luck though, hopefully it'll work better for you than it did for me.

Put the Tankslappers on my FJR and it works like a champ. Been through excessive heat and lots of movement (some of us really do thrash sport touring bikes).
