Ok so the shop I take my bike to (mission) get's my bike on aug 12.4 weeks ago they ordered parts..I say how far along is it after 2 weeks he says we don't touch the bike untill we have all the parts so we don't have the broken parts laying around everywhere. So week 3 he finally says it should be done by this weekend. So today he calls me and says oops there's a bolt in the clip ons that keeps them from spinning that got sheered in the accident (so the grips rotate?funny they were solid when I loaded it onto the tow truck and lifted the bike up off the ground by them) So he has to order new parts from kawasaki.I guess hardware stores don't carry this size of bolt? So I'm on my second week of oh it'll be done next week...I'm curious to see whats going to be wrong on wednsday.

I'm considering tell them to bugger off let em have the bike and just go buy a new on in cash. Anyone know the ramifications of that. He can't deliver on the price or time frames he gave me.The more this costs and the more time I dump into this he's making it financially stupid for me to repair it instead of being what I want it's now what's pissing me off and holding me back on what I'm making. He is costing me time money and more money to pay him.

3rdly who inspects a bike that just got wrecked and doesn't even notice the clip ons spin like a dial? He told me it bolts in from the bottom and he couldn't see because of the plastics in the way. Oh yah did I mention that I have most of the front nose section in my back yard? The clip ons weren't hidden by anything...9 times he's told me he would return my calls. 1 time he actually did. I was almost happy for 30 seconds.

What do you guys think I should do about this. Cash wise I have around 9g's plus 5g's on the 10th when Iget paid.

I"m venting because NOBODY even looked at the bike for 2 weeks because he didn't want to have parts sitting around? Then throw the broken parts AWAY!!!!

It's Mission Motorsports sorry...In Laguna Niguel or www.missionmotorsports.com (http://www.missionmotorsports.com) sometimes I wish there was some small shops that would do this kind of thing and have a few parts on hand. I never did like going to big shops to get stuff. I should have known better.

Anyone have idea's on what I can do? Anyone......bueller....bueller....:dunno

I feel like I'm being robbed...what can I do?:madfawk:mad3:mad2

First, I'd go get your bike. If you have to pay them, use a credit card. Then write a letter to your credit card company explaining you were charged more than you agreed to and that the work you agreed to was not done in the time you agreed to, etc. etc. Extreme? maybe, if it's more money than you were quoted and you never signed a work order for the higher amount, your set.

Might also contact a lawyer if it looks like you'll run into problems.

These f-n delears. Kinda the same thing happened to me at Hahm. Took 3 1/2 weeks to replace a 1 headlight assembly. Delears suck ass. Other than if it's major, I decided to bite it and take it to Cycle City. I'd much rather pay and know my bike is actually getting worked on right. They're pretty cheap over there and they're really cool peps.

I get the feeling Hahm pumped me when I bought the bike. Were talking I paid 14,800 financed 13,800 (with 600 in gear) so I'm not sure if I'd recommend them even to buy. Next time I buy I'm going into a small specialty dealer like a pure kawy shop that's not as big.

I called John at Mission he's the owner..left him a um "firm" voicemail expressing my feelings in a non vague manner. He called me right back and has worked on getting it straight and trying to discount it a little. I'll give feedback tomorrow when I find out If he ACTUALLY met a deadline and my bike is done.

This is not acceptable at all. You have the money, you should get it fixed. I agree with you that the estimate should have been right the first time. (At least items that are visible to the naked eye).

I hope that the owner makes it right and gets it done. You should also get a decent discount (20% or so) off the price.

8250 in repairs..that took a chunk out of my wallet. All is finished. I picked the bike up friday it was leaking oil (big no go there since it was flying onto my back tire) he held it till saturday finished fixing it. It's all back together it handles like a DREAM. This bike responds beautifully to any and all input. I'm starting to lose the "death grip" on the handle bars as I get more comfortable riding it. With the akro pipe and stabilizer it's a whole new animal. I see a PCIII in my future as soon as Moomba get's his dyno rolling. See you all soon on the track and possibly doing Keith Codes Superbike school soon.

He did strip a bike he had on the showroom floor to get unexpected parts he needed to get it finished by the weekend (for last saturday) The owner does work in the shop repairing and getting dirty etc. He's an alright guy I guess..for an ex racer :D

Guess I'll be getting my mini bike from them too lol.

P.S. 300 miles on it since saturday and this thing is just SHWEEET!

Just a ZX10 lol I could have just about bought a new one for what I paid in repairs..Minus the hot boddies undertail GPR stabilizer and Akro tail trumpet. First event I make it to...I'll think about it haha. I'm still making sure all the bugs have been worked out. Just a tiny little almost valve tick like sound coming from the engine post 4k rpms and it quits before it get's to high..It almost sounds like a loose panel or something..I'll try and make the BBQ...I need to refind the post..find the address...and mapquest it.
