I've never heard of them. Where did you hear about them?

Generally, you get what you pay for. If they're cheap, I'd be wary of fitment issues.

ok so i ordered a set of pit-eck bodywork last week and recieved it today. here's my review so far.

Price: 350 + 45 shipping

comes mostly pre drilled only thing i will have to drill is the upper farring mounting holes to the farring stay and the windscreen holes, and possible have to fix the upper to lower holes.

fit and finish: fitment is ok, tolerences are pretty tight on the upper farring, windscreen doesn't quite fit spot on but will fit with some massaging. upper to lower on the bike a bitch to get lined up and the pre drilled holes are off abit. havent tried fitting them together off the bike though. seems the front tip of the lower where they should mount together might be a bit out of shape and need to be trimmed.

polyurathane primer - i don't like it i think it looks like Cr@<hidden> personnaly maybe it's just they did a crappy job which seems to be the case since there are some spotr where it is very uneven or looks like they missed all together.

bodywork also seems to be pretty stiff.

overall- for the price it seems to be a pretty decent product fitment is fair not hitting the exhaust or interfereing with any hard parts gonna be a pain in the A$$ to get all drilled painted and fitted though.

I'll post some pics of it tommorow before i start the paint. tonight will be pretty much spent swearing at the bike and playing with the drill in the garage lol

How long did it take you to mount the bodywork?

i mesured like 5 times and stillended up with 2 speed holes on the upper mounting the freaking windscreen took me about 4 or 5 hrs...gotta be paitent with it...and for me the mounting holes to match up the upper and lower didn't mate quite right once on the bike so i just opened em up a bit on the inside piece which was the lower...can't even tell

Got the bodywork mounted. Fitment was far off from perfect on the 05 ZX6R. So it needed a little tweaking. Now the holes...blah! I effed up on a few of them. Had to zip tie the upper and lower at one point.

Now the EVAP canister on this bike is on the left side under the left clip-on. Stock, it bolts onto a bracket on the middle fairing. With the race bodywork, I had nowhere to secure it, so it is just hanging in that pocket area until I figure out that I can do. I thought about doing the KLEEN air removal mod (removing emissions related stuff, including the EVAP canister, but didn't have time.)

I will definitely be repairing the mounting holes on the fairings after the trackday and remounting them. Once I'm happy with it, I'll be painting it myself.

It's my first time buying and mounting bodywork so I can't really compare it to anything else. It took me all day just to mount, drill and remount the bodywork, and it still isn't perfect. Next time though, I will definitely be buying higher quality bodywork.

no worries like i said it took me awhile to get them all fitted myself and i had to sand down some parts to match up the upper and lower and they still aren't perfect. my one big gripe is the fact that my tail section rattles around pretty bad so i made some duct tape bushings for it lol.....if you can't duc it fuc it lol:D

^^^ lol. Yeah I had to make a few cuts to get the bodywork fitted correctly. The tail is pretty secure although the two bolts on the rear of the tail feel like they'll break right through the mounting bosses since the bosses are so THIN.

My main problem is the upper and lower. On the right side of the bike, I have two bolts securing the upper and lower while a zip tie holds the front corner of the fairing. I drilled the hole for the lower to mount to the frame a bit too big, so I couldn't secure it. I had to zip tie it until I figure it out.

Whoever came up with the saying of measure once, cut twice must have been smoking something...

dude go buy a freakin metal washer at home depot lol actually i probably have something that will work in my box o' parts. as far as the zip tie on the upper i'm confused at what you are talking about do you have a pic of it? if not I'll look at it sunday when i get up there. I'm planning on leaving my house at about 12:15-12:30 be at your place by 2:30. we're gonna have to load up fairly quick to ensure we make it up to the track before they close the gates for the night. we have to be there by 5:00 and honestly with traffic and everything i think we'll make it but i wanna be sure

bring all your spare body mounting stuff that you think might be useful in a plastic bag or something and if you have a cordless drill and some bits i'd bring that too. if we are earl enough to the pitswe'll unload it and see if we can't finish it up.

do you have mirror block off plates? is that where you are using zip ties? if so let me know i will bring my dremel and some aluminum stock and i will fabricate you some block of plates. i just gotta dig around and find the neoprene gasket material i use toi make a washer for them so they don't scuff your bodywork
