Has anybody have bought/use these gloves? Whats good about it? Im considering buying the A* GP PRO, PLUS, Teknic (http://honda-tech.com/zeropost?cmd=fshow&id=26#) Speedstar or MotoGP Nitrous gloves. Anybody that has had experience with the gloves i mentioned above and would like to share their input, please do so.
Thanks

the gp pros are good. have full gauntlet, able to use on track, and don't cost as much as the gp techs. I believe that the gp pros are a*'s next level down from what the pros use, which are the gp techs. but if i were u i would look around on the net to find good deals. I recently purchased gp techs for $162 brand new. the other gloves that u mentioned i have no idea if they are good or not.

roo roo roo i can not stress this enough i have crashed on several sets of gloves at speed last set i crashed it were frank thomas roo palmed gloves. thinner more comfortable don't really strech out so when you buy ones that fit a yr later they still fit and i went down slid on my palm a good bit at 120 and they are still in great shape 6 months after the crash and they are still my track gloves. cost 100.00 cycle gear.
as far as moto gp... i would stay away from thier gloves i have a set that stretched out really bad and are really not that well put together i have the one down from the nitrous i cant remember the name but imo you can get alot better for the same price

Which Roo gloves did you have?
The 2005 Teknic Speedstar has Roo palms i believe.

I too am looking for some good gloves for use racing as well as street.
Anyone know how the "Tour Master Cortech Comp Carbon II" gloves are?
Or the "Tour Master Robo-Max Carbon Gloves" ?
Good prices on them anyway...

The Tour Master gloves are really well-built, but they are pretty thick between your fingers and on the palm-side. It makes it hard to precisely feel your controls. For street-riding or touring, though, they are hard to beat! Especially at NE's prices. I have the Comp Carbon II gloves.

i crash tested a set of olympia's.....the ones with the carbon knuckle's. not the most expensive or the coolest but they stayed together during a 140mph crash.

Roo is the only choice. I crash-tested my Helds Profis two times now (on the track): put my palms down both times. Sorry, have no pics right now. The rivets are all scratched and one is even broken. The leather on the palm (roo) not even scuffed. Helds are upscale brand far exceeding any bling moo crap with hard knuckles, lots of carbon fiber etc. My Joe Rocket top of the line Speedmasters didn't last a half second in my low-side at Fontana. Regular cowhide can only withstand so much abrasion. You better keep you hands off pavement in the event of the crash. The only downside of Held design is they're too warm for everyday riding due to emphasis on kevlar reinforcement and padding opposed to hard protection; Though perfect for 20-min track sessions.
I use vented Frank Thomas roo gloves for the street. They're available at any Cycle Gear for $100-130. Try them on. Sizes vary with diff. models.

I tested the GP techs the second time I wore them at about 80mph and they didnt hold up that great. The one that hit the ground most got the plam pretty shredded and really should be worn again. I wouldnt say they are bad, but night and day compared to how the roo skin suit held up, and that took way more impact and you cant hardly tell. Anything as far as leather goes that I buy in the future will be roo skin unless somthing better comes out like martian skin or somthing.

My votes are for the Teknic Speedstars or the Helds. The A-stars are supposed to be good gloves, but they didn't fit me right, so that wasn't an option for me. I've heard good things about those as well though.
It's basically going to boil down to fit. Check out the brands/models recommended on this thread and see which one fits you the best (full gauntlet style).
