Alpinestar Stage vs TZ-1 Jackets

Which jacket is better for protection? I am leaning towards the stage but what do you guys think? I really like the 06 MX-1 but they will not be out unitl March. Should I just wait or go for the stage jacket? Right now I were a Fieldsheer textile jacket. I do not think this jacket will hold up compared to leather.

Get them both. 3 months is plenty long to save enough to buy em. :P

I just picked up the Stage. They pretty much offer the same protection as the TZ-1. I think the only main difference will be the design. I think the MX-1 will be more of a tighter fit and the Stage/TZ-1 a little more relaxed fit.

Personally, I'd go w/ the MX-1. But if you can't wait, get the Stage/TZ-1 now and pick up the MX-1 later.

I don't know if I will have enough money to spend on couple of jackets. I do not want to keep wearing my textile jacket so I think I will buy the stage.
