I had the Satos on my R1. Looked good, but never had to use them.

I've got SATO frame sliders on my '04 600RR. I had some other ones before that...Shogun was it? anyway, they were really long and would drag on the ground if you lean it hard enough...I've also seen them destroy themselves in a crash.
Best bet, SATO.

Shoguns sell on ebay for an ok price, they looked a little sketch.
I'll take a look at the SATO and vortex ones.
What kind of prices am I looking at?
Also, how much will installation cost me, anyone wanna take a guess? 100? 200? (because it's a honda, i've been told there's goin to be some cutting)
Best advice...

True... but 'better safe than sorry' yeh? Only stuntmen plan to crash. ^^"

Installing frame sliders requires cutting for most Hondas. The installation is fairly straight-forward and simple. If you have access to a hole saw and silly putty, you're set.
This got me through the ordeal - http://www.zmoe.com/sliders.html

There is a more precise method than silly putty. Some cone tool that's included with the sliders. Some people even use a laser pointer.
There are two slider sizes: 1-3/4" and 2" so know what size holesaw you need.

Another method involves sticking a sharpie into the engine bolt hole and marking the inside of the fairing.
Your results may vary... :dunno

I'm interested in hearing about the other methods, other than the silly putty. Preferably, step by step instructions like what Zmoe has.

I used the laser pointer technique to locate the bolt holes in the fairing.
I then proceeded to make a pilot hole using a uni-bit. I then installed the fairing to make sure it was lined up.
I then made the hole larger using a pneumatic carbide burr, moving it along the pilot holes in circles until it got about the right size and shape...test fitting every so often.
Or, you can have your sliders professionally installed at MOOMBA, after you buy them there. :thumb

It's accurate if you use that aluminum cone which fits the holes. I forgot the name of the sliders that has that tool included: it's conventional tubular design like Shoguns. From the looks point of view Woodcraft is the best as it sorta looks like second engine case cover.

I just stuck a small marker inside the fairing, marked the center location, went to Bruce's place and used his 1" hole drill bit, it fit perfectly.
Took me 5 minutes. :D The hole drill bit has a starter point and leaves a clean cut. You can buy those at Home Depot.
