I think i've blown a fuse somewhere. while i was cruisin on the freeway, my tach, speedometer, and all lights on the guage except the highbeam just turned off. which fuse is it, how to i get to it, and where can i buy it? hopefully this is something fairly normal and not serious. thanks in advance for the help

If you have your owner's manual, it should have something about replacing fuses. You can also look it up online.

Also, don't forget to investigate into why the fuse blew...you may have a short somewheres.

THe fuse box is under the seat. If you don't know which fuse, ordon't have access to a service manual, you can also inspect the fuses themselves and check for the "broken point" on the fuse. It will be clear which one is blown. :)

thanks guys. what are some possible reasons why the fuse blew? bad ground? i thought this was kinda weird because i wasn't messing with any of the electronics at the time it blew.

Do you have any after market electrical gadgets? Like blinkers, headlights, etc.??

the person i bought it from had replaced the light bulbs, both front and rear blinkers, and had a tail eliminator kit installed.

A short in the system. Look for low or no resistance in the circuit. Operate one component at a time and see which one causes it to blow. Good luck.

May want to first for adequate battery voltage. Simply lick the terminals on the battery while repeating the mantra "I am not afraid, I am... "

If I remember it correctly, yes they're pretty much standard fuses. You may want to bring one along for comparison anyway :)
