I have had this problem with my helmet if I try and get into an aggressive riding position and put my whole body off the side of my bike (including my head) that I could not get my neck cranked up high enought to see down the track.
When riding at the Keith Code school, the chief instructor asked my to get on his bike and simulate a left turn. I did, and when he asked me why my head was moving back to the right, I replied that I needed to so I could see down the track.
He took my helmet and pulled the lining out of the top, placed 3 thickeness of weather stripping between the helmet top, and the liner... (it cost about $2 a roll for this foamy stuff with a bit of stickum on it.
Vola...now I can see where I am going when I riding with good body position.
He told me he has always had to do this with his helmets as well. I thought it was just old age that was keeping my from being able to move my head to an upright position when hanging off. Made me feel a lot better when he showed my his helmet with the same stuff in it.
Try this little trick...amazing how much better you ride when you have good visibility.

oh!! i have always had this problem and i hate it!! i thought it was because i have squinty little eyes, so i can't see the track.
no seriously... are you pulling padding from the top, or what? please elaborate! :)

sounds like pulling the padding, adding layers of stuff, the replacing the padding. I've never had the problem he and you are having though.

Kamikaze:
What I did was to snap the lining out so I exposed the hard top of the helmet, then layed 3 rows of the 1" weather stripping which is sticky on one side side by side,(about 6" long each) then add 3 more rows on top of the 1st 3 then 3 more rows, put the lining back in place and pop the helmet on your head, bend over so your back is parrellel to the ground,,,,and vola you can see down the track without the helmet blocking your view.
Pantablo....cone heads never have this problem :laughing1

Suomy extreme.
The weather stripping just does not allow your head to sit as deep in the helmet, thus it sets a bit higher on your forehead and allow you to look out of the top of your eyes when you are in a tuck position.

not true actually... i've been having this problem for the last year with my Quantum/F; granted, it's production date was 2000, time for a new lid. the top liner is not removable in this one anyway.

Sounds like a incorrectly fitted lid to me.
I have let to have someone complain of this problem to me after we get them the correct fitting lid... People do not always like that I make them buy a brand different then they first wanted, but over time they start to see other people complain about the way there lids fit, and then realize how nice a lid that fits correct can be.
Granted, in some cases, you just can not get the perfect fit and you need to find ways to adjust the lid. This sounds like a good way, but too much could cause the lid not to do it job correctly. So be carefull with how much space you take up.

I use 4 lines, 3 thickness thick.
