What's going on people.... I ride a 00 GSXR 750 that I purchased around xmas time as my first bike. I've been reading alot about getting your suspension set up for your weight and height.... well I bought my bike off a chick that was about 5'6 and i'm a guy that is 6'3 and weigh about 210 lbs (pretty big difference). I don't want mess with it myself coz i don't know what i'm doing so i'm looking for some advice and recommendations on where I should take it too (price info also)...thanx people

Race Tech does good work, and they also carry absolutely everything you need (fork springs, gold valves, etc etc). They're a bit far from you, though.

Moomba is closer, and a lot of people have had great experience with them.

I took my GSXR750 to Race Tech to get the suspension completely redone. The total damage was a bit less than $1000, but definitely worth it. Especially for big 'uns like us (6'0, 240).

I have race tech in my 99 750. I hate it. Worst crap I have used... But I have learned to deal with it.. One day I will go back to the OEM valves and restack for my riding.

Anyhow, if your a new rider, you can get away with stock valves for now, and just spring the bike for your wieght. Get a feel for the bike and find out what kind of riding you want to do long term. That will play a big part in what you need to do with the valving on it.

Spring the front and rear, with a little help, should cost under 200 bucks. If you need someone to install the springs, the price will go up. But if you want to re spring, let me know and I will help you get them installed at a nice low cost.

I installed it. After the install, even took it out and double checked the directions. Had Dave Moss work with it to get setup correct. Took it out again, rechecked things. Correct per the directions. Tried to get help from Race-Tech (even using my contacts from the dealer I got them from), they did not return my calls or e-mails.

The only reason I have not taken them out is I am lazy and it is working ok right now, but both valves are turn out like 1/4 turn to get control of the damping.

Maybe the directions I got where wrong, but the install was to the T on it.
I dont know. I just am not very happy with the results. I have intalled them for other people, on other bikes, and it has worked out well for them.. But not on this bike. lol

Wow..... I'm not trying to get the whole suspension redone, but just adjusted. Correct me if I'm wrong, but i thought you could mess around with the stock suspension....I read awhile back that Jimmy at Moomba was pretty could and would only charge around $60... any advice????????

Yeah, Moomba can do it, its setting your suspension, like sag, compression and rebound.
