Is body armor worth buying? does it save you from that much?

I don't know much about dirt bike riding but I would say if you don't crash, having armor won't do much for you. :dunno

You can be injured if you fall off a motorcycle in two ways - impact and abrasion. If you smack something at speed (impact), then body armor will help, but only to a point. Obviously if you hit a tree at 50+, you don't stand a very good chance of surviving. But you can come out relatively unscathed from impacts at lesser speeds, and having armor increases those odds.

I remember when body armour was first invented. Medival Knights wore their shiny armour proudly when marching off to defend their King. The armour was strong and was the key to a Knight's safe return home. The Downside is that it was very very heavy and not so flexible.

Then came the evolution of Body Armour...Chain mail.

Is it worth it? I'm sure it was

All I do in my life is dirtbike and I don't use full on race body armor. But it is always good to always have that extra protection. If you don't want to spend a ton of money onan under armor suit than just get a roost deflector there not really for crashing but they've worked just fine for me all the times I've gone riding. But it all depends what level of protection your looking for. So if you want the pressure suit($150 bucks later)than get it. It is better in some places but not a lot of places.

have fun
