Question

I'm getting close to purchasing another bike. Can you guys vote on which one?

For those who currently ride a 600RR or R6, would you switch over if you had a choice?

Thanks party people! Word.

I sat on the 600RR at the showroom and it felt like it was made for me. The short reach to the handle bar makes it an ideal bike for my height and riding style. The seat height on the other hand is a bitch with riding boots on for me. I prefer the older styling of the R6 better. The new styling doesn't do it for me, still a nice bike. If it's between an older R6 and a 600RR, doh, get the 600RR. If it's between a newer R6 and a 600RR, doh, get the 600RR.

I would have to go with the Honda myself, even though I am biased toward Yamaha. To be honest, I don't think you could go wrong with either. They are both very well made and have more performance and capabilities than your average rider is ever going to need/use. It basically comes down to aesthetics and in this case I like the look of the Honda better. The R1 vs. the 1000RR is a different story though.

Damn, you are really serious about this huh? No input on either of those bikes, as nobody will let me ride theirs

I'd love to add a used 600RR or ZX6R to my garage. I might get a track only bike and stop riding on the street all together. The F4i is fine for everything, but I'm an idoit when it comes to spending money on my hobbies. I need to pull a switcharoo like the way you flipped your F4 for a sweet F4i with a kick-ass graphics kit.

how can i be down?

Why don't u just come over and take mine out for a spin this weekend then decide. Since u already rode the r6. And if u decide 600rr take mine. Then I can go get my blue one.

Does that include the miles it spent on the back of the truck going to riding spots?

Buy both. Let me ride them. I'll tell you which one to keep and which one to give me.

Damn...for the amount of Yamaha riders there are on this site, im surprised at the results of the poll. Ive ridden Doms 600rr and a 03 R6 up North, and i felt the rr was much more stable and easy to ride. The brakes feel better and the bike itself just feels more solid. Aesthetics are a matter of personal taste, but i think the RR looks the shit.

In all truth: you gotta find what you like. I threw my leg over the 600 rr and hated it. I threw my leg over the R6's, and loved them. Not sure why that is, but I feel "at home" on the R6.

As was stated, you cannot go wrong with either bike. As for me: I choose the R6.

its true, no one can pick your bike EXCEPT you. if you go by a poll alone, thats just poser value.

as for picking the honda, im not a mindless lemming that insists his brand is better than all others. (ahem, irving). the 600RR looks the best to me, and i admit it. the 1000RR on the other hand, BLLLAAAHHHHH. FUGLY.
